CRUMB & PEPPER · 1,000
Popular worldwide recipes
A research-informed collection of 1,000 popular recipes. This is an editorial selection, not an exact ranking of the world’s most-searched recipes.
How we selected the collection
Published food-search summaries and reader favourites informed familiar dishes and recipe families. We expanded that selection across world cuisines, everyday dinners, breakfasts, baking and desserts. Recipes already in Crumb & Pepper are reused rather than duplicated.
The sources cover different periods and use different metrics. We do not combine them into a claimed global ranking or invent search volumes. The collection is presented alphabetically, not in search-rank order.

Complete recipes and quantities
Recipe content comes from the openly licensed UniTools and Wikibooks collections. Each recipe keeps its original source credit and CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. Ingredient quantities scale with portions and appear in the relevant steps. Where a source leaves an amount or division unspecified, we retain that uncertainty rather than invent quantities.
500 additional new recipes
We added 500 recipes that were not previously in the library. We prioritised familiar dish families from the research above, then expanded across international cooking, baking, desserts and sauces. This is a research-informed editorial selection, not a measured top-500 search ranking.
New recipes were checked against their source ingredients and methods; incomplete or contradictory candidates were excluded. If a source does not state a serving count, the recipe scales by batch. A value of 1 then means one source batch, not one serving.
The full library now contains 1,538 recipes. The original popular collection still contains exactly 1,000 of them.
